One of the ideas I want to make a part of my company platform is the idea of the Scaleable Infrastructure. The idea is to have a well defined, documented statement of what you are doing with the resources you have and what would you do tomorrow if you had more resources. In my parent's home land, I've seen a lot done with very little resource and a lot of imagination. There are a lot of angel investors out there. I'm sure someone could be convinced to provide the resource to someone who had a elegant plan for what to do with it and where a company could go with the proper resources.

For our customers, we would analyze their business. We would identify their opportunities for improving their lot given a set limit of budget. We would then identify their opportunities for improving their business based on a next level of funding. In this way, we can tie improvement of the company to money invested. We can identify cheap, low hanging fruit improvements vs enterprise wide, more expensive improvements.

I would start this by laying out in more detail my own 2-5 year plan for Cognitive Metaphors. In the last year of blogging about it and hacking at pet projects, I have enough material to put together a business plan. My goal to complete this business plan is August 21, 2005, my 34th birthday.
